Community Service

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has been committed to public service since its inception in 1913. Through its Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, the sorority serves a plethora of community initiatives by focusing on Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement. The sorority realizes the challenges of African Americans and the community-at-large as a whole and seeks to continue to strengthen the bond of reaching out to help others.

The Miami Alumnae Chapter is committed to continuing the tradition of community service by yearly working and partnering with various organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Hats Off to Cancer, Humana Build a Playground, and many other organizations to collectively unite to make our communities better.
